CareDental Plan
To help our patients budget for dental treatment costs without compromising the quality of care we are pleased to offer our own dental plan which we believe to be the best way to make treatment affordable and give our patients greater freedom of choice. Plan for your health and confidence
The CareDental Plan enables you to spread the cost of your family’s essential dental care. This tailor-made scheme has been carefully designed to meet the needs of our patients and reflect our preventive philosophy.
Plan 1 provides:
• One consultation per year
• All necessary x-rays
• Two hygiene appointments per year for cleaning and polishing
• Oral hygiene and dietary instruction
• Access to our dental emergency service
• Credit arrangements to spread the cost of any additional treatments
• 10% discount on private fees
• Worldwide dental accident and emergency insurance
The cost of Plan 1 is just £11.00 per month
Plan 2 provides:
• Two consultations per year
• All necessary x-rays
• Two hygiene appointments per year for cleaning and polishing
• Oral hygiene and dietary instruction
• Access to our dental emergency service
• Credit arrangements to spread the cost of any additional treatments
• 10% discount on private fees
• Worldwide dental accident and emergency insurance
The cost of Plan 2 is just £14.00 per month
Special plans for children - protecting their dental health
We also have a plan for children, which has been designed to provide the foundation for strong, healthy, adult teeth and gums.
It provides:
• Two check-ups per year
• X-rays, as clinically necessary
• Hygiene appointments, as clinically necessary
• Fissure sealants, as clinically necessary
• Oral hygiene and dietary instruction
• Access to our dental emergency service
• 20% discount on private fees
• Worldwide dental accident and emergency insurance, for all paying children
One parent or guardian must be on a plan for a child to be eligible.
Children under 5 are free, for children who are 5 to 17 years old it costs just £6.25 per month.
Simply fill out the direct debit and application form then hand it in to a receptionist or post it to the address on the application form.
There is a one-off joining fee of £10 for adults and £5 for children; this is taken with the first monthly payment.
Emergency treatment
All patients who are members of the plan are entitled to necessary care and treatment in an emergency during normal surgery hours. Fees apply.

Your registration
Throughout your time as a patient of our practice, we appreciate that your circumstances may change and so you may withdraw from the scheme at any time.
Withdrawal will be affected 3 calendar months after a written instruction is received at the practice. If fees are paid annually, upon withdrawal the practice will make a refund proportional to the length of time remaining to the end of the twelve-month period. For patients paying monthly, direct debit instalments collected after the termination of the arrangement will be refunded with the reduction of a £4 administration charge

Dental accident
If you suffer damage to your teeth from an external cause such as a fall or a road traffic accident you can claim dental treatment costs up to £10,000 in one year. For each night spent as a hospital inpatient as a result of an external dental accident, you can claim £50 a day, for a maximum of 365 nights, after the first day. If you suffer damage to your teeth from internal trauma such as biting on an unexpected hard object you can claim for treatment, see the policy limits for full details.
Worldwide emergency and out of hours treatment
Emergency treatment can be provided by any dentist worldwide. The cover is for the costs incurred for any emergency dental treatment necessary to provide immediate pain relief. If you are out of the UK the maximum is £340 per incident. If you are in the UK there are policy limits for each necessary treatment, these are listed in the insurance terms and conditions.
Should you require an out of hours appointment in the UK, when CareDental is usually closed, the maximum call out fee is £100 per incident or £24 for a telephone consultation where no attendance follows.
Children under five
Children with free plan membership do not have Accident and Emergency insurance.
Policy excess
The insurer will not be liable for the first £25 of any claim in the UK and the first £50 of any claim outside of the UK.
How to make a claim
Simply obtain a detailed receipt from the treating dentist and a claim form from your dental practice.

We always want to have satisfied patients. If you have any problems please contact the Practice Manager who is our complaints officer. The dentists and team will do our best to resolve them. We have a practice complaints procedure, which will deal with any complaints about the plan or any care, and treatment we provide under it.
