Dr Karim Kassam qualified from Kings College Dental School in 1999 and St. Georges Hospital Medical School in 2006.
He is currently training to be an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Consultant and is currently working at the prestigious University College Hospital in Central London and Harley Street and here at CareDental Aesthetics on Saturdays. Maxillofacial Surgeons are unique in they are dually qualified in dentistry and medicine before undergoing vigorous training in all aspects of surgery before embarking in specialist training in the head and neck and the facial skeleton. He is therefore excellently placed to provide treatment for the face, mouth, jaws and neck.
Dr Kassam has gained experience in many hospitals around the country including Leeds General Infirmary, Northwick Park and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He has rotated in plastic/general and neurosurgery before returning to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training.
He is a recognised provider of Botulinum toxin and Dermal fillers used to enhance facial profiles which complements his cosmetic dental work.
He is actively involved in research at University College Hospital and has published posters at Oral Medicine conferences as well as publishing case reports for International Journals.
He regularly keeps up to date with developments in dentistry by attending courses and dental conferences.
